Cases of niche-partitioning and of habitat-segregation in pelagic marine calanoids of the genus Euchirella (Crustacea: Copepoda) Naturalis
Vaupel Klein, J.C. von.
Two cases of apparent niche-partitioning and one case of alleged habitat-segregation in the calanoid copepod genus Euchirella are described. These are examined with regard to their possible implications for making generalizations about the structure of biocoenoses and about mechanisms of speciation in the pelagic marine environment.

CHECKLIST OF PLANKTONIC COPEPODA FROM A COLOMBIAN COASTAL LAGOON WITH RECORD OF HALICYCLOPS EXIGUUS KIEFER Boletín de Investigaciones
Fuentes-Reinés,Juan M; Suárez-Morales,Eduardo.
Sixteen species of planktonic copepods are reported from Laguna de Navío Quebrado, La Guajira, Colombia. Zooplankton samples were collected from the littoral zone with vegetation (macrophytes and mangroves) and from open water related to an oyster bank. Most of these species were recorded in the macrophytes-related area. One of them: Halicyclops exiguus Kiefer, 1934 is new to the Colombian copepod fauna; comparative morphological comments and illustrations of this species are also provided. The general composition of the local copepod community, including marine, estuarine and freshwater forms is representative of the wide salinity gradient (0-28) found in the surveyed area. This is the first report on the planktonic copepod fauna in this hydrological...

Copépodos Notodiaptomus sp. Kiefer (Crustacea, Calanoida) naturalmente infectados com metacestódeos no reservatório do Juqueri, São Paulo, Brasil Biota Neotropica
Madi,Rubens Riscala; Ueta,Marlene Tiduko; Frezza,Tarsila Ferraz; Müller,Maria Isabel; Simionatto,Karen Bazan.

First report of deep-sea copepod Megacalanus princeps Wolfenden, 1904 (Calanoidea: Megacalanidae) from southwestern Atlantic ArchiMer
De Almeida Alves-júnior, Flavio; Correia, Érika Pinho; Pereira Figueirêdo, Lucas Guedes; Cunha, Aislan Galdino Da; Bertrand, Arnaud; Neumann-leitão, Sigrid.
The deep-sea copepod Megacalanus princeps Wolfenden, 1904 was previously recorded from the northern and southeastern Atlantic, Indian and Pacific oceans, but not previously observed from southwestern Atlantic. Here we report its first occurrence in Brazilian waters. The current record increases the knowledge on the species distribution and on the deep-sea copepod fauna in the south Atlantic.

Groundwater crustaceans of Spain, 13 (Copepoda Calanoida) Naturalis
Bowman, Thomas E..
Two calanoid copepods were collected from groundwaters in Spain by the University of Amsterdam Expeditions in 1983—84 and 1985. Copidodiaptomus numidicus was found in southwestern Spain, in provincias Huelva and Sevilla. Mixodiaptomus laciniatus, previously known in Spain only from the Pyrenees, was collected in the Cantabrian Mountains.

Lovenula (Neolovenula) alluaudi (Guerne and Richard, 1890) in the Canary Islands (Copepoda: Calanoida: Paradiaptominae). Stygofauna of the Canary Islands, 19 Naturalis
Bowman, Thomas E..
Lovenula (Neolovenula) alluaudi is widespread on Lanzarote, where it occurred at 22 of the 105 stations. On Fuerteventura it was found at only 2 of the 53 stations, both in the extreme northwest part of the island. It was also found in a reservoir on the south side of the small island of Alegranza. Samples collected at several hundred stations in the other Canary Islands failed to yield a single calanoid, supporting the belief that the eastern islands are fragments of the African continent that drifted to deeper waters. Males outnumbered females in about 2/3 of the samples, often heavily.
